Labor Day Weekend

Chet was on call Saturday, Sunday, Monday all day and Tuesday part time needless to say we stuck around the valley. Which we were bummed about cause we wanted to go up camping with Tammie and Jay and go four wheeling, but we still had fun when we did get to see each other. 

Sunday night we were invited to go to the Burnett's and sleepover. Jake and Chet wanted to take tents and turned it into a camp out. It felt like we were camping and enjoyed making yummy treats and visiting by the fire. Chet was excited to be able to finally use our tent from Christmas.... He didn't get to try it out for very long before  he was gone ALL night on tows. 

I woke up to the wind blowing hard and lightning and thunder super close. So I made my way inside and camped out on the floor. Pretty soon the whole family was inside sleeping all in the living room. 

Monday in Wellsville is founders day so they have things going on all day for you to do. We got up early to watch Stella run in her first race!! Cam and Dale ran it with her and some of her cousins.They ended up starting where the 5k started so Stella ran a lot more then a mile and she did great!! 

It was raining pretty hard so we were all soaked by the end. Even these 2 got soaked from being in the stroller covered....

Stella got a medal and was so cute  with her little running outfit on. Good job Stella you did so good! 

We then went back to Cambria and Dales house and had a big breakfast and dried off. I snuck this cute picture of grandpa reading to the kids!

After showing my sisters they wanted to stick Emelia in the group.... Didn't go over so well :) 

It stopped raining so everyone decided we would go to the parade which rained on and off on us. The parade was still going when we were leaving and timed it just right cause on the way to the car it started to pour. 

The rest of the day was raining and poor Chet was gone all day working and hardly had any sleep. When I got home I found our power was out for a good couple of hours on the whole street. It came back just in time for me to make dinner. Chet finally got home and not even 15 minutes after he walked inside this is how I found him in our room. Im truly grateful for him everyday! 

August

 At the beginning of the month  we got to go to the Olsen reunion. They hold a big golf tournament every year and Jay and Tammie asked if I wanted to do it with them... I have never golfed in my life but we were playing best ball so I figured why not! I pretty much stunk it up but very one else did way good  :)  

That night we had a big dinner and then they handed out awards and I ended up winning a hat, golf balls and a ball bag and Chet got a club brush. It was fun to see family and to spend time and be part of something that Jay, Tammie and Chet enjoy doing so much! 

I spent a few Saturdays down in Murray helping my sister sale berries at the farmers market down there.... It's always fun to spend one on one time with her and being able to help her out! 

We went to the country fair with Alyse and Jake and mainly just walked around to see all the animals and booths. We stopped to get some fair food and Chet got to have his first funnel cake. We spent the rest of the time looking at all the rides and watched Jake play some games. 

For Chet's birthday I wanted to do something fun.... I planned a surprise birthday party the sunday before his actually birthday. I kept it pretty low key and invited our families and some of Chet's closest friends. When Chet got to the park he was way surprised and had no idea. He hates things like that but he had a fun time and wasn't to mad :) 

For his actually birthday it was more a relaxing time. We both worked and then he went to help a friend out for awhile... I wanted to take him out to dinner but he wanted just to eat at the house. We just spent the night watching movies and spending time together. It was a perfect low key night! 

I stopped by my sisters after work one day and Stella has been dying to have a sleepover with me and Chet for SO long. I brought her home with me and we enjoyed every minute she was over here. We stopped to get dinner and then we spent the rest of the night doing hair and makeup on each other. The next morning she wanted to hurry and do everything before dropping her off with grandma. She found my iPod and she thought it was so great and carried that thing everywhere she went till we left. 

My sister Katie and Emelia  flew from New Hampshire for a visit and Dan came for a few days for his brothers wedding. We didn't have anything planned mostly just played everything by ear. I love having all my sibling together and enjoy playing with Emelia. I took the little ones on a walk and we watched the guys play baseball one night. 

Friday me and Chet went to the temple while my family took the bus up to USU campus to get Aggie Ice Cream. We met them up there and had fun visiting before they had to hurry and catch the bus home. 

Saturday morning  Katie and Cambria went to the temple and me and Chet watched all 3 kids. We spent a lot of time making forts, having a picnic and playing outside. I love being an aunt and getting to spend time with them as much as I can. 

That night we threw Alyse a baby shower and it was fun to see all the things she got... Sadly I didn't think to take any pictures. I can't believe baby will be here in October and I can't wait to meet the little guy! 

I finally went out on a couple of tows with Chet. Every time I went we got home super late but it was fun to see how everything works. Chet amazes me everyday with all the work he does. I appreciate him so much!!  

I was pretty proud of these back to school survival kits I made for my young women. I tied a couple of different ones I found on Pinterest that fit better for my girls. They were so excited to get them!! 

Chet has also been playing a bunch of softball games with different teams and it's always fun to see him play when I get the chance.
