Bugs Birthday!

My little sister is growing up!!! She turned 22 years old on May. 23rd, it's weird to think that she is getting older. She is one of my best friends... I'm so glad we have such a close relationship. I remember the many nights we would stay up chatting about everything. She is the best listener and is always there to cheer me up. Happy Birthday Bug!!! We love you!

The first derby has come....
We went down to Far West to the Golden Spike Arena  to watch the first derby of the season!! Big A, Kindra and Kate drove down with us. The derby was a lot of fun and had some really good cars. We were worried that it was going to rain on us so we packed tons of umbrellas and blankets but it was actually a pretty good night. I love to watch Chet get into the derbies and how serious he gets when he watches. He really enjoyed watching the tow truck drivers the most I think :) It was a fun night, Thanks Anderson's for coming with us!! We are looking forward to the rest of the derby season!!

I borrowed this picture from Kindra of the cars flipped

This is the face I was talking about earlier..........

Mother's Day!!

I love that there is a day that we get to celebrate our mothers every year.....personally  I think we should spoil them more often for all that they do for us!! I am grateful for the beautiful and amazing women in our lives. Chet and I are truly luck to have women as strong as they are. We wouldn't be who we are with out their example, love and care they have show us.

For Mother's Day we went to hear Bryce speak in my home ward and then hung out with the family. We left my parents house so we could go to Grandma Olsen's house for a mother's day dinner with Chet's family. It was fun to see everyone and to just spend time with our moms :) I didn't think of taking any pictures of the whole day sorry!!! So I will  highlight the main women that mean a lot to me and Chet

1st-  My Grandma Ward
There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about this amazing women. I miss her a lot and wish Chet was able to meet her. She was the hardest working lady and went through a lot in her life. She was always willing to serve and loved working in the temple. Even when she had cancer and was in so much pain she always had a smile on her face. Thanks for all you taught me grandma I love you and miss you!

2nd- My Mom, Mother T
My mom is a super mom she is always on the go..... I really don't know how she does everything she does in the day. She is never thinking about herself it's always what her kids or grand kids need first. She has always been there for me and helped me out a lot!! I look up to my mom so much and hope that one day I can be half as good as she is :) Thanks mom your the best... We love you!

3rd- My sisters
I am very blessed to have 3 sisters that are my closest friends.... Growing up we had the best time, yes we fought but I love looking back on all the great memories we had together. I can go to them with anything and they will always be there. They know how to cheer me up and the 3 people I can totally be honest to and they will still love me.They are the best moms and I am lucky that they have made me an aunt to the cutest 3(4 soon) little nieces and nephew. Thanks Cambria, Katie, and Alyse for everything you guys do.... We love you!!

4th-  My Grandma Ellis
My grandma Ellis is the sweetest, quite and loving women you will ever meet. She has gone through some hard things in her life but she keep moving a long. She is always serving those she can and her faith is so strong. I look up to her and has brought a lot of laughs into my life. I love sitting down and playing games with her and the time I get to be with her. Thanks Grandma you are the best! We love you!!

5th- Tammie
I have got to say I have the best mother in law ever!!! I am so glad that I have such a great relationship with her. Since the day I met her she has always been so welcoming and opened her home to me. I love getting to spend time with her, no matter what we do. She is one great mom and I am so glad she raised such a great man who has made me the happiest! She is a hard worker and is always looking out for me and Chet. Thanks Tammie for all you do.... We love you!!!

6th- Grandma Haddie (the one in the orange jacket)
Grandma Haddie is the sweetest lady and is so welcoming. I love the times we get to see her and just to visit with her. She is a strong lady and is a great grandma. She is always serving others and always looks out for everyone. She had been a through a lot and has overcome a lot. I am grateful for her faith and the smile she continues to have on. Your the best Haddie...... We love you!!!

7th- Grandma Olsen (the one in the purple)
Marie is the happiest grandma's I know..... I love that she lives so close and we get to play cards with her when we can. She is always looking out for her family and loves the gospel. April

Um...I can't believe it's been 6 months since I last updated our blog.....oops!

I guess we're just so busy having fun, or just busy!
I'm going to try to do better and make blogging more of a priority.

So here is what we have been up to in the last month........

Easter weekend  Chet had to work at his new job Saturday (more on that in a little bit) so we only got to play on Easter. For Easter I wanted to do something fun with the Easter baskets so I came up with this idea. It was a big hit!!!! Since Chet isn't a candy lover (weird I know) I filled his with just some of his favorite snacks and some things he needed. I was excited to get new clothes in my basket and a few of my favorite things.

I found a blog that filled 12 eggs and inside they have symbols that went along with a scriptures to help remember Christ. It turned out really cute and loved the fact that the focus wasn't just on the candy and baskets. We loved both of these ideas a lot, that we will now continue to do them in our house!!

After church we headed out to the White's Trout Farm for their annual Easter party......
We got there right as they were finishing up the egg hunt so we just ate and visited. It was fun to see all of the Olsen's family/friends and to just relax.  We then headed over to my parents for their Easter celebration/ Bryant's B-Day party. My brothers hid all the eggs around the house so we had to go and find our eggs. We also played basketball and a game of croquet. All in all it was a great Easter and fun to spend it with our family and friends!!!

Since the next week was spring break I didn't have to nanny for the McBride's. My parents and brothers went down to St.George for the week so I got to watch our cute niece and nephew. One day a week every other week I get to watch them but I got to watch them for 3 days!! It was so much fun and we had lots to do....I'm just glad the weather was so nice. Stella loved to go to the park close to our apartment and play. On the way home we had to stop and feed the ducks (there are tons by the time we are done). I love being an aunt and getting to spend my time with them. :)

Bryant turned 15 on the 6th.... clear the roads cause he now has his permit. I can't believe he is going to be able to get his license next year!! Happy Birthday Bud!! We love you!

During General Conference I thought while I listen I would make a craft...
It turned out to be a lot easier then I thought so I was done with it in no time. I love how it turned out and now I have my wall in the living room all finished....FINALLY!!! Now on to the bedroom :)

our living room wall with the O up!
On Sunday April.7th we got to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary!!!
I honestly can't believe how fast this past year flew...
I'm one lucky girl to be married to Chet. He is seriously the hardiest working guy I know. He is always trying  to make our future brighter. I love my best friend so much, and love that we are sealed forever!! There is never any dull moments when Chet is around and I LOVE that. I love ya babe!! Your truly amazing :)

We wanted to do something fun for our anniversary so we made our way down to Salt Lake for the day. We went to the Hogle Zoo which was a blast!! Chet hasn't been to Hogle Zoo ever and it been awhile since I have been there so it was way fun. I loved that our day was so relaxed and it was just us!

Our sweet nephew Landon is now 1.... I can't believe he is no longer a baby!
We went out to Cam and Dale's to have a little b-day party. It was the cutest farm party, Cam did such a great job. We love ya bubba!!!

We had our 1st fire of the season....
The boys invited us to come over to my parents to have a fire.
They had  their friends come over so we got to hang out with a bunch of teenage boys :) It was such a nice night and got us excited to be around this summer for a lot more fires and to go camping.

I just had to add this picture to show you how good of an uncle Chet really is.... Stella wanted to put pretend makeup on HER Chet. It melts my heart seeing Landon and Stella get so excited when Chet gets home. I know one day Chet is going to be one amazing dad!

I said earlier Chet got a new job..... He works nights and weekends as a wrecker (tow truck driver) and is in HEAVEN. Lets just say he gets so excited when he gets a call to go out to get a tow. He just got certified and picked up on everything so fast :) He did make it clear that I can go with him whenever I want....which would be so much fun to see him in action. I don't know how he does it working all day in the heat then going out to tow at night?!? I guess that's shows you how amazing he really is :)

Chet also is on a men's golf associations this year and has loved getting out and being able to golf. We go to the driving range quite a bit to get practice in....he doesn't need it though. He is even going to help me get into golf!!! I'm way excited to try it out :)

The only thing that's new in my life is that at the beginning of the year I was called to be the Young Women's President. It takes a lot of my time but its been SO much fun!!!! We have a small ward and I only have 7 girls so it's not to bad. I love the new program and planning/ going to all the activities. We are in the process of planning girls camp and youth conference so my summer is already filling up pretty fast :)
