Father's Day!

I'm so grateful for all the men we have in our lives. They are truly the hard working men we know. They are always there for us! We are lucky to have all their examples and love all of them SO much!!

This Father's Day was pretty low key.....
Even though Chet isn't a dad I still like to celebrate "Mans" day for him. I made him breakfast in bed later gave him a foot massage! At church they handed all the guys in our ward a bunch of cookies.
We both ended up having to teach our classes so after church we headed out to visit Jay. Tammie made a yummy dinner for everyone and we gave Jay his gift. We then spend the rest of the time relaxing and watching golf. Later when my parents got home from my cousins homecoming we went over and had ice cream and brownies with the family. The guys all watched the Spurs vs Heat Playoff game. While the rest of us just visited. Me and Stella watch the Miss USA pageant where she thought that they were all princesses!

Since I highlighted the women in our lives I thought I would do the same with the men in our lives

 1st Chet
There are no words how much I love this guy. I wake up thanking my Heavenly Father that he has blessed me with such an amazing husband. He is the most hard working, caring, loving guys I know. He is always trying to get ahead and is always thinking about our future. He is always making me laugh. Im grateful that he honors and holds the priesthood in our home. I love you babe so much!!!

2nd My Dad
He has always taught me how to work hard and to never give up on something. He has always been there for me and am grateful that he always honors the priesthood. He loves to play jokes on us but he also has the biggest heart. I'm lucky to call him my dad and the example he is to me. We love ya Dad!!!

3rd My Grandpa Ellis
I am so lucky to have a Grandpa like him... His is always making me laugh and the spirit he has is so strong. He is the only Grandpa I had growing up and I have always treasured him. He is a great example to me and is always willing to serve the Lord with the best attitude. I know that the Florida people are lucky to have such an amazing missionary like him! Miss ya Grandpa and we love you!!!

5th My brothers
Even though they aren't dads yet....hopefully not for a long time either! They are still a great example to me. They honor their priesthood and are always fulfilling their callings. They are going to be great missionaries one day! I'm so glad I have them as my little brothers forever!!

5th My brother- in- law's Dale, Dan and Jake
I am lucky enough to have 3 great big brothers to look up. I have always wanted an older brother and now I have some. They are always there for me and I can talk to them about anything. They are great dads and look up to how hard they work to provide for their families and my sisters. I'm glad they honor their priesthood. Thanks for examples you guys are to me. We love you guys!!

6th Jay
I really lucked out in the fater in law department.... He is seriously the hardest working men I know. He has always made me feel like one of his own. I have learned so much from him with in the time I have gotten to know him. I'm grateful that he raised such a great son and taught him how to treat me.
Thanks Jay for everything we love you!!!

Cambria's Birthday!!

Cambria birthday was on Wednesday June 12th!!!
Words can't express how much I look up to her. She is the one person I can go to for anything and she is there no matter what. She is one of my best friends! She is one great mom and works so hard. I'm glad I get to call her my sister.... Thanks for everything Cam. Happy birthday!! We love you! Can't wait to see what this year brings you....

Visit from the Christensen's

I'm loving all the visitors we have been having for the last few weeks..... This one trumps them all though :) my sister Katie, Dan and Emelia came to Utah for 2 weeks from New Hampshire!! The first week they spent with Dan's family and then we got them for the next week.

We had a ton of things going on while they were here

Wednesday:
They got to Logan in the afternoon so after work we came over to say hi and had a big family dinner. Later that night Jake and Alyse kept the gender of baby weeks a secret for a whole week so we could have a reveal party with Katie and Dan. We thought that way Katie would feel like she was apart of a party since she will miss the shower. So to start off the party we had everyone take a guess of what they thought baby was.... Most everyone picked BOY.

Then I decided to do a baby shower game since guys don't go to showers. We played feed my baby! Each partnership is blindfolded and one has to feed the other..... It was pretty funny and I didn't do so well with feeding Chet!

I love this picture it makes me laugh everytime I see it :)

Then we read a whole bunch of old wise tales people use to see what they are having... they were all spot on... Then Jake and Alyse made these scratch cards to reveal what they were having, Alyse was tricky and made all the circles green and only one person had that it was a BOY!!!  It was a lot if fun and can't wait to see the little guy.

Thursday:
Everyone had to work so we met up after for dinner and had another family dinner all together. Me and Bryce took the little kids on a walk around the neighborhood.

Landon was pretty upset that we stopped when he wanted keep going!

Then the boys went off to go boating at Hyrum Dam. They all got to get in the water and wake board. Chet had a blast with all the guys! Me, my mom, sisters and the kids all went around to see places we could take family pictures for Sunday. We then just visited till the boys got home.

Friday:
I spent the morning just hanging out and playing with the kids outside.. They went up the canyon that afternoon and were had tin foil dinner. Chet's grandma was in town so we decided to go visit with her instead. Tammie and Jay had dinner made for us and then spent the rest of the night we chatted and played cards till way late. I'm glad we got to spend sometime with Grandma Haddie!

Saturday:
The guys went on a hike and the girls went shopping but Chet wanted to go shopping for a new shirt for pictures. It's not very often he wants to shop so I took advantage of going shopping with Chet. We actually ran into my sisters and mom shopping so we shopped a little with them. Chet was pooped from all our shopping and fell asleep.

While Chet was sleeping I took the time to finnish up Emelia's E. I made for her so she could take it back with her. I love how it turned out!!!

That night we went to see Jake and Alyse's land in Paradise and have a fire. The fire was so big and way to hot but it was fun with family.

Sunday:
We went to my parents ward and then later had a dinner out and Cambira and Dales House. We all brought something to go with the chicken Cambria made for everyone. We had sometime before family pictures so everyone did their own thing. Stella wanted to take pictures with me and just giggled the whole time

We then got ready for pictures..... I can't wait to see how they turned out!! We went back and had frozen yogurt pies which I made my myself. They were way easy to make and pretty sure they will be made again soon! We said good bye to Katie, Dan, and Emelia cause their flight left at 6am the next morning. It was fun to have the whole family back together again. Thanks Christensen's for visiting!!!

Cooking show

My mom invited me to go with her and my sisters to the Taste of Homes Cooking Show. I had no idea how big of an event it was but it was a lot if fun. They give you a bag full of samples and coupons to places around they valley. They have booths for you to walk around and sample some of their food. Then they have a chief demonstrate 9 meals for you to make at home. It was a lot if fun spending time with my mom and sisters and eating some yummy food! Now I'm excited to try some of the new recipes out on Chet.... Thanks Mom for the fun night!!

Summer nights!!!

Oh how we are enjoying our summer in Logan!!
We seriously have had a fire every weekend and we are loving it! Who cares that my hair will probably smell like camp fire tell December now, but I don't really care :)
Jake and Alyse just put a fire pit in their backyard so we went over to try it out. My parents and brothers were there and it was a blast..... They have a great backyard so we took full advantage if it. Chet, Jake, Alyse, and Bryce played catch. We ate dinner and had yummy s'mores then we all went home after it got super late. Thanks Jake and Alyse for the fun fire!!

I can never get Chet to smile in pictures... He is always pulling some sort of face!!

Kelsey's visit!!!

One of my best friends text me Monday to tell me that she was in town for the week! I was so excited cause we haven't seen each other in over a year..... Way to long for me :)

We planned to meet Tuesday night after I was done with young women's. All day long I was dying and the day couldn't speed up any faster for me! Kels brought he boyfriend Rees along with her so it was a lot if fun to get to know him. Chet was asking all sorts of questions haha poor Rees.We didn't do to much but just hung out at our place and played some games. Of course I got creamed in every game.... One day I will get lucky and win! Then we just drive around Logan to get something to eat cause I was starving!
I wish we could of hung out another night before they had to go back to Arizona but they will be back again this summer to stay longer.  I can't wait till they come again!!! Thanks Kels and Rees for stopping and seeing us we loved it!!!!!!

Memorial weekend!

I have always enjoyed Memorial Day weekend, but I will be honest it just isn't the same anymore.
I have great memories as a kid arriving at my Grandma Wards house with mason jars all lined up. I would find her cutting all her flowers that she work so hard on and took care of. Leaving only a few flowers left for herself. She would place all the flowers in the jars and my job was to fill them up with water. We then spent hours decorating the family members graves and the cousins and I would pick what one we liked the best. Without fail we all picked the bench that we thought for sure Elvis was burried. Then to end the long morning run we would have a big BBQ outside on the lawn. Family, extended family and friends would stop and visit and eat. Those are the memories I have of Memorial Day. As I get older I truly am grateful that I got to have these experiences. Secretly I wish we still did this tradition.....

None the less with that memory we still had a great weekend!
Friday we went up to Left Hand and went to the campsite with Jay and Tammie. They go up every year with friends and family to just enjoy the break and each other. We really wanted to stay and camp but Chet has to work the rest of the weekend. So we just went up and had dinner and then hung out by the fire. It was a lot of fun to see everyone!!!

Saturday- Monday Chet had to at least be 10-15 mins to the shop cause he was on call. So we couldn't really go and do anything poor kid had to stay home and just wait.

Saturday morning I went shopping with my sister and her kids. Later in the day I went over to Grandma Olsen's house and visited with her and played a card game. Chet came by to have dinner with us and then joined in and played a game with us. She was so close to winning and Chet came from behind and won it all. Lets just say she wasn't to thrilled to lose again to Chet. I'm glad we got to go over and spend sometime with her. We sure do love that woman....

Sunday after church we  went to my parents for alyse's birthday dinner. Poor Chet could hardly eat
his whole meal before he was called to go on a tow :( We hung around and visited then I went up to Malad to go decorate graves with my family. It was nice to go this year and help make all them so pretty!

After we stopped to see my uncle Steve and aunt Cindy. They are remodeling their kitchen and it looks so good!! We didn't stay to long cause it was starting to get late.

Monday Chet and I were super lazy! We really didn't do to much but just hang out at the house. Later on we went and got lunch and then Chet was gone the whole rest of the night... It sure was a great weekend and I can't help but to think of all those family members we have had pass away. We sure are lucky to have such sweet angels looking over us. I wish I could of met some but I'm sure glad of the knowledge I have that I will someday!
